Why can't you just copy the position of your source layer and paste it into your target layer's position?

    This is something that still slows me down. Say for example I have a long fly-through and need to build out a new section. To create a new layer in the zone of 3D space I'm in, I usually duplicate another layer close by and then drag it to the desired position. I'll duplicate the most recent target null (used as the camera focal point) and then copy the anchor point position and orientation from the null to the new layer. But I still have to select the layer, type P then Shift-R to get position and orientation, copy the keys and paste to new layer.

Is there a faster way to do this I'm not thinking of? by parenting / unparenting -> zeroing transforms like in C4D?
