I heavily uses the render queue and also rely on the history= of the queue for seeing when a master has been rendered and where to.
But i have converted to using ame for almost all encoding to delivery files= , and send much from AE to AME where i have reimported a rendered sequence.= Making simple comps with the rendered tiff/psd/tga sequence and what versi= oning graphics overlay that is needed.

But a very unfortunate gotcha that i also figured out the ha= rd way with rendering via ame, is what Roei mention that its very important= to set the layer switches correctly before sending from AE to AME.

AME really needs some way to set up render settings of Ae se= nt projects.

I don't like using AME because it takes more time and = not as fast as AE.=C2=A0
(you have to wait for the programs to communic= ate with each other - sending the file to AME, canceling and such. its not = immediate as AE.

if I need another session open of AE , I just use the -= m on the command line

AME requires you to have the maste= r switches enabled =C2=A0for instance you wont get motion blur of frame ble= nding

AME comes in handy for transcoding when I can just set = up a batch and walk away. I find it takes what seems to me to be a long tim= e to load the clips to be transcoded into AME, however.
