Nope... unfortunately Avid stores its files in the "Avid MediaFiles" folder as MXF OP-Atom (audio and video in seperate files)  and not MXF OP-1a (combined audio and video)
So you have to import them... or that is my expericene... but then we are still on Avid MC 5.5, so something might have changed in the newer versions

Does the DNxHD MXF Op1a preset create MXF files that could be brought directly into Avid? Not as an import, but copied into the MXF folder.
