not that i know of. Pretty annoying. I wish had a way to globally re-enable all expressions. Nothing like clicking through lots 'ok' dialoge boxes of "Warning: this expression broke!" "Warning: this one too!" "Warning: yet another broken expression!" ... and then you have to run around and find and re-enable all of them. It's like an easter egg hunt but less fun.

Process Complete!
64 Items duplicated, 467 expressions updated

thank you sir.

didn't know that one could duplicate the wiring inside
thought it just duplicated chain of precomps... :)

how about that other question? say I mess up and accidently
break a chain of expressions and press undo. is there a way
to rewire them back (seems like undo should do it but it doesnt).

True comp duplicator - AE scripts

Hey fellas

got a bit of a problem. it seems I created this mastery of faux 3d chart pie
with tons of linking to a master controller.

the thing is when I duplicate the master comp because I need another kind in the same AE session (lets call it Pie_01 and Duplicate and Renaming it Pie_02) - all of those nifty expressions get broken (because they all reference to the comp and it doesn't get changed in the expression editor for those layers when I duplicate)

and I see no other way but going one layer's expression at a time and changing the reference comp to a different name or do it in another session, pre render it and import as a movie - what I eventually did.

can someone show me the light please?
either there is something I missed when I wired this linking mechanism or something
that I can do after the fact. for instance making all those expression change to a comp
of my choosing by using layer control expression of some sort.

and on that subject - is there a script or a way to re-link broken expressions after you messed it up but clicked "undo" - I have always wondered...

hope I was clear

thanks a bunch.
