thank you Rick it makes sense to load up a dark gray solid with noise - I will try that next time sounds good for getting a good track. what do you mean by "do hold outs if there are reflections"
and also your last response saying "use Mocha to track and extract the reflections by blend modes from the original screen"
doesn't just putting the replaced image on top with "screen" do the trick?

The noise makes things track well and the reflections show up from the shiny glass. You have to do hold outs if there are reflections, but Mocha will do a great job of tracking and replacing the screen on a smart phone if you just take a little care when shooting. |
