notice the glow and flare coming from the sun creating that lighting on the screen,
and of course there are real reflections where you see the girls face (sec 37).Â
when you put and image on that black and use screen mode you're pretty much done. (if the track is good..)
yes, you would loose the easy blend mode compositing, but it was more to get the screen lighting on the hand that is much harder to fake than the reflection. There is almost always a trade-off for doing it one way or the other. So there really is no 1 way to do it correctly, it all depends on the shot and what lighting you have.
And thanks to Rick about the noise pattern trick, never really thought about that, but it ofcourse makes perfect sense when using Mocha. i guess you have various noise patterns sizes depending on how far away the screen is in the shot?
