I must once again plug the incredibly awesome “qp_VersionSnapshot” script, available on AEscripts. This gives you the ability to manually increment your projectiles without actually renaming the original .aep file. I really wish this behavior was built-in to AE, so that I could invoke it with a keyboard shortcut!
