Very good Chris - a great trawl down memory lane!
For those interested in the definitive story of editing, I can recommend 
two books by John Buck called 'Timeline' & 'Timeline2'. Available 
through usual ebook outlets.
Incidentally - just a couple of weeks ago I dumped my Accom disk 
recorder at the local tip. It gave me a perverse satisfaction to toss it 
in the skip!
