I just came across an issue this morning when the infamous Mac "Disk space almost full" message popped up. I was a bit confused as to why. After a bit of detective work and disk scanning for large files I came across a MASSIVE cache folder for AE CC, but not just CC 12.2, it also had 12.1, and 12.0. Is AE no longer updating over the major version and cleaning up the mess of the old version? I found that every single cache file since version 12.0 still existed. I had over 185gb of space being used for no reason what so ever. Not cool. Upon finding this, I also noticed that of course the preferences folder followed suit, but only 2mb of extra trash here. So having a new folder structure get created with each point release is a big slip in my opinion. If the content was still accessible, that's one thing, but it can't, so there is no need for it. I'm curious how many other extra AECC related folders exist that I'm not even aware of.
Todd, can we find out if this is known/being looked into or am I missing a check box that I should be clicking when doing point updates for AE CC? Thanks.
