If so, then p= urging the disk cache in After Effects CC 12.2 should purge all of the disk c= aches for the previous versions.

I can= 't verify that directly as I have manually removed the older point update ca= che folders already, but even if the option to "cleanup database and cache" m= ay remove that, it still doesn't address the fact that the 12.0, and 12.1 pr= eference folders are also existing. Based on this find, if we ha= d 15 AE CC updates take place, our computers will house 15 unique folder str= uctures for one app. 14 of those not being used by anything ever again, sinc= e the newest point update has it's own structure to work from. I'm not saying Adobe did this intentionally, I'm sure it was an ove= rsight during the chaos of coding, but it should be looked into before it be= comes a bigger headache.

I just came across an issue= this morning when the infamous Mac "Disk space
almost full" message popped up. I was a bit confu= sed as to why. After a bit of
detective work and disk scanning for large files I came across a MA= SSIVE
cache folder fo= r AE CC, but not just CC 12.2, it also had 12.1, and 12.0. Is AE no
longer updating over the majo= r version and cleaning up the mess of the old
version? I found that every single cache file since= version 12.0 still existed. I
had over 185gb of space being used for no reason what so ever. Not= cool.
Upon finding t= his, I also noticed that of course the preferences folder
followed suit, but only 2mb of extra tr= ash here. So having a new folder
structure get created with each point release is a big slip in m= y opinion. If the
con= tent was still accessible, that's one thing, but it can't, so there is no ne= ed
for it. I'm curiou= s how many other extra AECC related folders exist that I'm
not even aware of.

Todd, can we find out if this is known/being looked into or a= m I missing a
check b= ox that I should be clicking when doing point updates for AE CC?
