I know this conversation comes up once in a while but I have this AMD Radeon HD 6970, 2GM RAM and I'm running Windows, I7 processor, 36GB RAM.  The machine hums pretty well but just wondering if there is room for improvment with the vid card.  I always get that pop up when I launch AE about the ray tracing and other things hang here and there.

 

So, my question is, do you all have recommendations for a good card to run AE, suitable for Element 3D, and Mettle Products too.

 

Not looking for the $2K card but something reasonable in price and good recommendations.
