But I was wondering. Why is it with a digital delivery platform that we are still going to be receiving separate versions with point/year release names? I figured from CC on out we were just going to have updates whenever the team wished and no incremental or point versions anymore. So like 10 years from now there will still just be After Effects CC and we don't have to worry about the 2017 release or the 2019 release or whatever. ///Greg Balint //Art Director / Motion Graphics Designer /321.514.4839 delRAZOR.com/ On Jun 19, 2014 9:44 PM, "Dann Stubbs" wrote: > i think i saw a post or web site comment where AE CC 2014 is not > compatible with OSX 10.7 > > but it apparently installed on it then gave that error message - so not > sure and i can=E2=80=99t remember where i saw that but just in case it is= true and > relevant i thought i=E2=80=99d mention it > > ahh decided do try to find info on it (phew adobe that was not the easies= t > thing to find the release notes on your web site) > > http://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/system-requirements.html > > yes AE now needs minimum OSX 10.8 - so just for those who are still on 10= .7 > > dann > ___________________________________________________________________ > > Dann Stubbs - dann@darkskydigital.com > Dark Sky Digital - http://www.darkskydigital.com > > http://www.RenderKing.com Value Priced C4D, VRAY Render Farm > ___________________________________________________________________ > > =E2=80=9CYou can ignore reality, but you can=E2=80=99t ignore the consequ= ences of ignoring > reality.=E2=80=9D -Ayn Rand > > > > On Jun 19, 2014, at 9:16 PM, James Culbertson > wrote: > > The Creative Cloud app is giving me upgrades for both After Effects CC an= d > After Effects CC (2014). Haven't done the upgrade yet.=C2=A0 But I was wondering.=

Why is it with a digital delivery platform that we are still= going to be receiving separate versions with point/year release names?

I figured from CC on out we were just going to have updates = whenever the team wished and no incremental or point versions anymore.

So like 10 years from now there will still just be After Eff= ects CC and we don't have to worry about the 2017 release or the 2019 r= elease or whatever.
