I symlinked all 3rd party effects in the plugins directory on Win 7, and also ScriptUI Panels. I didn't try with a standard Windows shortcut, but used soft symlinks us the mklink command.
Todd-- would/could you do a post discussing your use of aliases/symlinks as mentioned in the article? Was considering doing one myself, however wouldn't want to find that I'm doing something potentially 'destructive' and lead readers astray, despite it working out for me.
Todd - I did see the notes on both. Â The VC one basically just went to a forum post but apparently not real resolution or process but it sure didn't transfer. Â
I did see somewhere that Red Giant has new installers, although all my
RG plugins transferred fine without reinstalling. Â Element 3D tested
fine as well in CC 2014.
