I want
to apply for the job. Now first off - you do realise that Rise of the
Guardians cost $62,285 per frame, don't you? But don't worry, I can get you
the same quality per frame at a budget you can afford. It's simple: I make
something of the same quality, but just a lot smaller.
If you do the maths,
a budget of $4000 divided by 4320 frames (for you I give a discount, I'll call
it 4000 frames) comes out to a dollar per frame. Now I'm assuming that the
master to RotG was 4096 pixels × 2160 digital cinema print which means 8847360
pixels per frame. So $1 gets you 8847360 / 62285 = 142 pixels, and again I'll
give you a discount and round it up to a 12 x12 pixel square.
You can't get
fairer than that. Real Dreamworks quality at a price you can
afford!
Here's
a sample of what you could expect for your budget (and just to sweeten the
deal for you I'll throw in sound recording, music and mixing for nothing, just
because I really want to work with a visionary like you).
Note
that the web player does stretch it out to fit in their frame, and compress
it. The version you get will have full 12x12px resolution uncompressed 10-bit
video and will be crystal clear and sharp.
Since
you won't be storyboarding it we can get moving straight away. You won't want
to see any character design, art direction or animation tests etc, that's all
just a waste of time. I can see you're a busy man, so I'll just do the whole
thing, render it, and have it ready to go, without all that to-and fro that
gets in the way and drives up costs. Once you pay I'll send you a link to
where you can download the whole completed thing, ready to go. It saves you
the worry and makes life simpler for me. I can get moving on this at any time,
and can have it done in a week, tops. Just paypal me the money and I'll send
you a link. Of course you can trust me, I trust you don't I?

When our producers start
getting unreasonable, we've starting saying 'we can do it, but it will be 12
pixels square…'
