i7 is big performance gain over 2 core since its 4+4 HT.

my current laptop has 256 SSD in replacement of system drive and I removed the optical to put a 750G 7200 rpm drive in. considering either 512gb SSD or 1tb spinning drive. SSD will gave much better battery life, but the 750 is constantly full and I'm always juggling projects on it. to bad large SSD's are still expensive. that said I edit and have actually finished client projects on this machine PP edit, AE graphics, Resolve grade, AME export and these are projects with 10 layers of video in PP in including ultra keyer.
