| I take it that you want to create a null and have it positioned at the layer’s anchor point. If that is what you want it’s a two step process. Create a null then hold down the shift key and parent the null to the layer. If you do not want to keep the parenting the null will not move back to it’s original position when you remove the parenting.
OK, I guess it could be a three step procedure.
