If I remember correctly you can work with that configuration and let things fly. As for Cinema 4D, Octane Render is the only thing I can think of that uses GPUs for render speed improvement. -Rob On 7/10/2014 8:22 AM, Teddy Gage wrote: > Interesting.     As for Cinema 4D, Octane Render is the only thing I can think of that uses GPUs for render speed improvement.

Interesting. Does anyone know if C4D supports SLI, or can handle mismatched dual GPUs like the RT engine? Also, because I do play the occasional video game I'd prefer to have the option of SLI, which requires matched cards, and I want the dual 6GB RAM (could consider a GTX 780 but it's only 3GB). In my experience compatibility issues do pop up more often with mis-matched card types. From what I've heard, the Titan Black is pretty much just an overclocked Titan with a handful more CUDA cores unlocked.

the cuda wikipedia lists these cards all as 3.5

GeForce GTX TITAN Z, GeForce GTX TITAN Black, GeForce GTX TITAN, GeForce GTX 780 Ti, GeForce GTX 780, GeForce GT 640 (GDDR5), GeForce GT 630 v2, Quadro K6000, Tesla K40, Tesla K20x, Tesla K20

Anyone have a GTX titan for sale or know of someone? I need a non black edition as im going to run it in SLI with my current card to speed up a current project.

Side note, after some tests with this project using multiple lights and about 16 hand drawn .png layers casting shadows in a diorama-like box, the gpu raytrace rendering finished the scene in about 4 minutes while classic cpu took over 25. I was pretty surprised, but I guess it makes sense a GPU is more efficient at handling light and shadow effects.
