Like you, sometimes, I just don't have the time either to do troubleshooting and instead revert back to what I know works. I believe my system is well capable, with an i7, 32GB RAM, Win 8, all updates, etc. Maybe an update will fix. I am in the market in for that GT870 (someone here recommended) card in short order as well. Not sure if that will help but hope to see some improvement somewhere as a result from my Radeon 6970 i mentioned yesterday. FWIW: Pre= miere Pro CC 2014 is pretty unusable on my system as well. Froze the system= twice, I had to manually cut power and restart each time =E2=80=93 a probl= em I have not had with this workstation before. Before it froze I had simil= ar problems to what you describe.

I gave up and am bac= k to using Premiere Pro CC (Version 7.2.2 (33)) until I see an update to th= e new (2014) version installed. The =E2=80=98original=E2=80=99 CC continues= to be rock solid for me.

=C2=A0=

I don=E2= =80=99t have the time to figure out what the problem is with 2014, but you= =E2=80=99re not the only person having problems: Which was one of your orig= inal questions.

=C2=A0=

I think m= y system does meet spec:

=C2=A0=

Windows 7= =E2=80=93 all available updates

NVidia 680 GTX 2 GB = =E2=80=93 newest driver

Dual Xeons =E2=80=93 quad core

148 GB memory=

Se= parate SSD=E2=80=99s for OS, Scratch, pagefile.sys and content.

=C2=A0=

-- For th= ose raising that issue.

=C2=A0=

I=E2=80= =99m sure Adobe will figure this out and fix it, not a big deal for me for = now.

Hi Eric,

I don=E2=80=99t see either of those Radeon cards in the sup= ported-card list for CC 2014 here:

Perhaps your card has a different model number?

And does the rest of= your system meet the rest of the sys reqs?

How much system RAM?
=
What sort of external drive? How is it connected to computer?

What sort of media/clips appear to be choking your system?
