I've got low back issues, plus repetitive stress problems which is what drove me to look into getting a good chair. You definitely want to get up and move around frequently. And it doesn't help to get a great chair and then slouch in it. ;-) The ergonomics of your desk need to match the chair. Make sure your keyboard/monitor/desk are at the right heights . Yoga/stretching helps too. The Steelcase is about the same price as the Aeron if you get the fully adjustable Aeron (since the Leap is fully adjustable). I think someone else recommended the Herman Miller Mirra as well. Haven't tried that one though. Also, I have had bouts of low back pain myself, and my recommendation would be to work with a good trainer to strengthen your core, and make sure you are getting up every 30 minutes to move around.
