Not sure why it works specific to words and not lines but as a workaround could you add range selectors to enable you to effectively group words together?

cheers,

Hi all,

I'm trying to use an expression in a text animation, but getting a (non specific) syntax error after it runs for a few frames (the name of frames before it throws up the error seems to be variable).

The expression is:

swings=3;
timeOffset=0.25;
v=valueAtTime(time-timeOffset*textIndex/textTotal)[0];
anim=2*Math.PI*v/100;
amp=easeOut(v,0,100,100,0);
Math.cos(anim*swings)*amp;

Applied to the 'Amount' in the expression selector.

It works fine if I base it on Words, but if I base it on Lines it fails. Any suggestions for why this might throw up a syntax error like this?

Any help much appreciated as always!

Phil
