mask-to-position only makes a perfect match for a com= p size layer.

if you want the mask path as positio= n key frames you could make
the path on a new dummy solid layer a= t the comp size and then copy and paste it to position keyframes
of your target layer, get rid of the dummy layer, and you won't ge= t any position shift.

no expression or transformat= ion changes necessary for the pasted layer.

I made an animated font= recently which involved using masks (on over one hundred different glyphs)= which were then pasted as position keyframes, and all of them had to be ma= nually shifted to the correct position - if only I'd thought to ask abo= ut this at the time I could have saved a lot of time!

Hi all,

When you draw a mask on a text layer, and then copy and past= e into position keyframes (eg. in "Write On"), there is always an= offset (presumably due to it being a continuously rasterised layer).

Does anybody know if there's a way of calculating t= hat offset, and therefore write a script to translate the position keyframe= s to line up with the original mask?=C2=A0

Or does= such a script already exist?

(I know you can get around this by pre-composing, but I= 'd rather not do that).

Any insight much appre= ciated!
