Yep. There is a bug in this update. We’ve already removed it from the server. I recommend that anyone who installed this update uninstall After Effects and re-install it through Creative Cloud. Since we have remove the 13.0.1 update, re-installing will get you back to 13.0.0.

We’re working on a 13.0.2 patch that gets this right.

I don't know if it's related, but I did this update this morning and now all my preferences, output modules, etc. have been reset to the default settings. Bummer. I thought maybe I could sync back from the cloud but I’m just getting an error. Oh well, not the end of the world. Just an FYI.

You'll see an After Effects CC 2014.0.1 (13.0.1) update show up today.

This update only does one thing: It resets the trial status so that a user can try this version even if they have already used the 30-day free trial with a previous version of After Effects.

We'll have a blog post up about this soon.

I just wanted to send this out to y'all to prevent the inevitable questions of "Hey, what's in this update?".
