We have a floating license of Genarts Sapphire and I could not seem to locate the plug-ins via AE. The last time I used them was when CC first came out. I reinstalled the plugin set, after realizing I needed an update anyway. It installed fine, I launched AE and still no plug-ins. Weird, I thought. After scouring my system drive, I located both the Sapphire plug-ins and some plug-ins which I DID see in AE. The installer for Sapphire copied the files into a CS6 folder in the root Library. I would have thought AE would still have picked them up, but no. (posted on CreativeCow as well) I'm on a Mac Pro running ML. The common plug-in location for this version of AE seems to be within the user folders. That means, for each user on a machine, one needs to make another copy of the plug-ins in their respective user folder. Anyway, copying the plug-ins from the root library folder into the user library folder did the trick. YMMV. HandyGeek |
