when you use collapse transformation on a pre-comp and apply a mask, effect or use the pre-comp as an alpha matte,
or apply a layer style - you lose the ability to have the insides of that pre-comp interact with the correct composition (blending modes for instance).
what you are left with is only the collapsed transformations (you can scale, rotate with preserving the original pre-comped resolution)
it's not a bug - its a compromise you have to work around with.

Hi all

I have a pre comp with collapsable transform on because i need the blending modes inside the precomp but when i duplicate it add a mask to it collapsable transformations doesn't work anymore. Im creating a loop so i need the duplicate to have the same blending modes as the original. I tried to use a track mat instead  of the mask on the layer but this also disable collapse transformation.

Is there a way to use masks on  layer without disabling collapse transformations ?

Thank You
Dan
