Thanks Peder,

I have 32gb RAM and several layers of Form distributed through space with a camera moving between various points. The error is always 'out of memory'. Along with increasing the 'skip vertex' amount, I've resorted to rendering an image sequence so I can pick up from where it crashes. This seems like the only solution at the moment.

Cheers for the info.

Hi D,

There are two different errors you can run into with Form. "Out of memory" means the plug-in is running out of memory (doh!) - this might happen with a large OBJ/sequence and modest RAM config for example. This might be fixed by a reboot.

Another error is "Particle Overflow error" - this means there are too many particles (20million is the limit IIRC) in the setup. This cannot be fixed by a reboot, the number of particles need to be decreased in this case.

Thanks Rick. I've disabled what I thought to be the offending layer and it's now chugging through ok, albeit slowly. Will have to render that layer out separately and recombine.

I have occasionally seen out of memory errors on form when there are lots of dots.
