If you don't like how AME encodes h264 video, don't use it. There are a wealth of other options. Just export lossless 10bit from PP and go to AVID DNxHD, x264 or Prores. Personally I'm fine with the h264 quality from AME for most projects, as anything I'm encoding to h264 is going to be small file sizes, client previews or recompressed for web anyway On Thu, Sep 4, 2014 at 11:26 AM, Jim Curtis wrote: > Wikipedia says, "x264 is a free software library for encoding video > streams into the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC format." > > What is this voodoo about paying $299? > > > > On Sep 4, 2014, at 9:54 AM, Byron Nash wrote: >> >> If you want to do it all within Premiere/AME, there's this: >> http://www.x264pro.com/ >> > > -- _____________________________ VFX & Motion Graphic Artist teddygage dot com --20cf303ddb983ae3ff05023faf6e Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

If you want to do it all within Premiere/AME, there's this: http://www.x264pro.com/
