When it=E2=80=99s happened to me, it=E2=80=99s tak= en down the whole system. I was usually able to restart, but have had to = do a few system rebuilds. I=E2=80=99ve been in 2015 since the release, an= d don=E2=80=99t think it has happened since I=E2=80=99ve switched. I=E2=80= =99m on a 2014 MBP with an nVidia Ge=46orce GT 750M. I haven=E2=80=99t figured out what=E2=80=99s causing it, but my 2010 iMac= hasn=E2=80=99t had any issues with it. I have been operating under the a= ssumption it=E2=80=99s=C2=A0something with the hardware, but have never b= een able to troubleshoot very well because it never seems to happen doing= the same thing outside of CMD-Tabbing. --=C2=A0 Brian Klein On July 29, 2015 at 6:33:00 PM, Chris Zwar (ae-list=40media-motion.tv) wr= ote: =46or the last few weeks I=E2=80=99ve been having problems with AE crashi= ng several times a day, it=E2=80=99s getting annoying. I=E2=80=99m runnin= g CC 2014 on Yosemite, everything=E2=80=99s up to date. I haven=E2=80=99t= touched 2015 yet. =20 When AE crashes, it=E2=80=99s always the same cause - I=E2=80=99ve switch= ed to a different app, then I switch back to AE. =46or example - if I che= ck emails, switch to safari, or deadline monitor etc, then when I switch = back to AE the app quits. It also happens a lot when I drag files from th= e finder into the After Effects project window. The error messages given = are generally the same - something about blitpipes, or error making new c= ontext. =20 I haven=E2=80=99t had ongoing stability problems before so it=E2=80=99s p= erplexing. Has anyone else had this sort of problem=3F =20 The only thing I suspect is the video card, this is the first machine I=E2= =80=99ve worked on with an ATI card and not nVidia. It has 1gb VRAM, AE i= s set to use 512meg. I=E2=80=99ve tried making it more or less but doesn=E2= =80=99t seem the affect the crashing. Hardware acceleration of panels is = turned off. (My machine is an old 2009 MacPro with 32 gig ram, ATI radeon= 5770). =20 Any suggestions=3F =20 -Chris =20 +---End of message---+ =20 To unsubscribe send any message to =20 --55b96d11_4f934640_acc Content-Type: text/html; charset="utf-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: inline
