Using Trim Path to reveal stroke = effects is probably the way to go. I think on my current project I = will stick with Paint since I've already put quite a bit of time into = doing it this way. I'll just have to be sure to draw all the paint = strokes at a consistent speed. it's good to know I wasn't missing = something obvious. And thanks to everyone else for their input.
