I love the app for installing scripts! I’ve been using it for a while now. I tried downloading the most up to date version, but it didn’t appear to install to CC ‘18? I was in a hurry, so might have missed something. But a simple copy worked for most of them.

This is not correct and to complicate matters even more Adobe introduced a new extension format a couple of versions ago that has an even more complex install procedure that is frustrating users needlessly. Please let Adobe know on their forums ( https://forums.adobe.com/community/aftereffects_general_discussion/content) about your experiences so that they will hopefully listen and fix them. Don't assume they read this mailing list.

It’s not necessarily Adobe’s fault, it’s actually up to the developer (I think).
The way I understand it, there are two potential locations for plugins. Traditionally there’s the “plugins” folder which is inside the Application folder. However there’s also the one inside the Adobe “Common” folder - a more convoluted file path that is different on Mac & Windows.
Any plugins that install to the “Common” folder can be migrated to newer versions of the software / upgrades. I think it’s a preference when you install, can’t remember. I think that Trapcode, Red Giant, Sapphire and a few others that live here WILL be automatically included in an upgrade.
It is plugins that still use the original location inside the application folder that don’t get moved over. I just had a look and this is where the Video CoPilot ones live.
Yes I guess Adobe should migrate plugins from both folders, and not just the one, but if developers set their installers to use the Common folder then it would also solve the problem.
