Indeed.  And not only that, but if you look in your MediaCore folder where the plugins are installed you’ll have a plugins folder for all your versions of AE. So if y u have a plugins folder of 1GB or so, that is duplicated several times. This has always felt like a pointless redundant waste of space, considering most plugins are compiled the same since CS6. I wish the whole install process was smart enough to know how/where to alias or point to existing installed plugins

I've yet to fully even move to CC 2015, let alone CC2017 because it is such an immense pain to copy or reinstall the dozens of plug-in's and while it sounds like it's just a simple copy and paste, that's never the case.  I don't gripe too much but this one has always annoyed me.

Certainly there should be a way to have that as part of the installation process.
