I figured out an easy way to weed out corrupt files from image stacks. A little cumbersome, but better than doing it by hand at 4am.

Run a batch from XnView configured like below:

  1. Select your folders
  2. Pick a new temporary directory
  3. Supper errors
  4. Skip existing (if you need to run again)
  5. Run
  6. Delete the original files
  7. Copy the new files back to directory. They will not have any corrupted files.
  8. Also leave an error log of corrupt files
