What's the opinion on getting a 1080p vs 4K? Since I'm using it for color but can do QA on a 4K LCD, is there any reason to get a 4K reference monitor? I have a 24=E2=80=9D DreamColor already, and it=E2= =80=99s been pretty solid.

I read some reviews on = the PV270, and that looks mighty impressive for the price.=C2=A0 The same s= ize DreamColor is ~$300 more.

The trend to 4k has definitel= y reached my mid-level marketing video-driven post business.
Current pr= oject load is something like this:

Source footage:= 50% 1080p, 50% 3.2k or 4k (or higher)

Finished de= liverables: 80% 1080p, 20% 4k

prett= y much BMD is the main survivor of video I/O cards or interfaces. I have on= e of their HD ultra studios with TB and it works great=E2=80=A6 but its als= o a discontinued product. BMD thinned out their hardware line considerably = at or around NAB 2017. used options are of course out there, but I=E2=80=99= d probably go with =C2=A0something that does 4K at this point.
