actually BerkeySystem.com is the source for parts for building all sorts of product rigs, especially ones that need to pour. they have all the bits in a couple different standard sizes, with all the connectors, bearing blocks etc you’d need to make a product rig.

I think the nut with super glue or hot clue and threaded rod would be best.  The suction cup came to mind purely as what I thought the normal solution would be but it would have been at the back and not seen.  But, I like the rod idea.  Oh and the beer will be full too, so suspended in mid-air and slightly canted/tipped to one side.

As a follow up, I see the Gobo head, which is fairly large right?  I believe the same as those on my C Stand right?  Now, with a camera shot direct on to the bottle, fairly tight shot of bottle, would do you recommend to best hide the attachments on the backside?  Just thinking through in my head at the moment but seems the Gobo would show.

Using a suction cup on a bottle will give you a fairly large funny looking spot on the bottle that will be hard to disguise in post. Hot glue will easily hold two or three pounds with a 1/2 inch dab. Super glue works extremely well. You still have to make sure that the shear loads are not too great and make sure the torque load (bending load) does not cause the attachment to fail. 

If you really must use a suction cup then there are a lot of household options on Amazon: M4 Strong Transparent Screw Suction Cup Hook 5 piece/pack,Cap Nut

I would not trust them with much of a load.

Hope this helps. Super glue, hot glue, black carpet thread, dulling spray, 1/4 to T nuts and oval nuts have been in my Grip kit for more than 40 years. They are as indispensable as Black Wrap.
