When I import a project to another and finished my comp fixing and placing the imported stuff, I select my essential comps and use "reduce project", then I "consolidate all footage" and then I organize my assets in the project panel - usually manually but David also created an organize script for this (Ae scripts has also tool for that). Now we have another rendition to the organize process - ConSOLIDator :) Jonathan,
That is possible, but After Effects already handles duplicate footage with the Consolidate All Footage menu command. Far more efficient than a script. David Torno --------------------

When dealing with projects inside of projects, you may also find yourself with duplicates of PNGs, video, PSD files, etc. Is there a possibility to do something similar in this situation? Perhaps at least a script that would flag the duplicates?

This makes me very happy! In our environment we’re often importing one AE project into another and I HATE having multiple solids folders…
