We're planning to use a regular farm for heavy lifting along with the garden for shorter renders... I'd love to know whether the Garden could be employed to maximize the use of processors in a farm setup? Any integration tips would be appreciated. Congratulations Brendan and Matt, I was imp= ressed with the beta and we're going to purchase a dozen or more licens= es for my current gig.

We're planning to use a regular far= m for heavy lifting along with the garden for shorter renders... I'd lo= ve to know whether the Garden could be employed to maximize the use of proc= essors in a farm setup? Any integration tips would be appreciated.

Correct, the combining of movie segments does not involve re-encodin= g, while the Post Render Actions do (since they usually are converting your= render to a different codec).

If you see shifts in the Post Render Action movies, are you doing the compa= rison in After Effects?=C2=A0 ProRes movies often look different in QuickTi= me player.=C2=A0 And ProRes is a lossy YUV codec, so you expect at least a = small change from the original RGB.

If there's something beyond that, send us some steps to reproduce and m= aybe we can get to the bottom of it.=C2=A0 Maybe the FFmpeg command line co= uld be altered.

Brendan
