This is for people who don't have a farm. RenderGarden is nowhere as advanced as render farm software like Tractor, but it's a lot easier to set up and a lot cheaper. By running multiple processes simultaneously, RenderGarden will speed things up for any output file format. But while people rendering this way usually need to stick to image sequences, RenderGarden will let you render out movie segments that are then combined into a full-length movie by FFmpeg without re-encoding. Yes, like any render farm you need all your machines to have the same plug-ins and fonts. While we don't officially support earlier versions of AE, I have used RenderGarden on CS6. Run the installer, and then copy the files to whatever version you want to use. It'll probably work. Brendan |
