| Thanks for the confirmation, Steve.
I’m OK with using cc14 for the rare occasions I’d like to use Ray Tracing, which I did in this case.
I had to do some bending in 3D space, and I normally would go to Zaxwerks Warp (which also stopped being supported after cc14; but every time I try to use it lately, my licensing is messed up, it’s a weekend, and I’m twisting in the wind.
I’m too timid to mess around in libraries where I don’t belong.
Thanks again, Jim
yes because the raytracer isn’t technically supported in CC17/18, at least not for new modern cards. older cards may continue to work.
two options : you can render in CC14 if it works there, or, try replacing the existing optix libs in the app with newer ones from nVidia developers site.
google will turn this procedure up for Win which appears to work, and once you find the optix libs on mac, the same files should be copied. however this would be considered experimental and the next app udpate would likely reinstall everything and you’d need to repeat the process. if you do it, and it works, let us know. I tried it a while ago and it didn’t work but possible I didn’t copy over all the bits that needed to be moved in.

Yay, list is back up!
Ray Tracer seems to be broken in cc18. Works fine in cc14. Anybody else seeing this? I’m on MacPro5,1 El Cap, Titan
