So, I was shooting video with sound on my cheapie Canon camcorder and, the recent versions of CC, AE and PR can not read the audio on the file. I get a little yellow box that says "the audio in this file requires the Dolby audio decoder, which is not available on your operating system. Try updating to Windows 8.1 or later, installing the Windows Media Feature pack..."
A quick googling revealed some sort of riff between Microsoft and Adobe, so they aren't playing as nice as before. I'm happy with Win 7 and Win 8.1 ain'ta gonna happen.
I tried importing in PR, AU and AE2014 and audio shows up like a champ.
Another reason to retain your old versions.
What the hell happened?
