I sync project with hundred of folders and million of files without any problem or slowdown. Even on Mac folder via network. You have many options from overwriting older files, ignoring date, binary comparison, copy to another path, etc. Never found a task where I cannot use TC or it was too limited. Same if you need to find dupes in the Search panel/window there's function to find duplicates. If you need a tool to organize files (images, audio, footages, etc.) and clean duplicates with have a visual preview of those, i think Opus is better. Find duplicates panel and search function are more complete than TC. Total Commander to me is more powerful with a steep learning curve. Opus seems more easy to use, but slower. In some cases, mostly when we outsource to 3rd parties but also when a project is started in the office but then completed on-site, we can end up with 3 or 4 project folders with varying degrees of duplicate files. Sometimes projects can be terabytes in size. > > The idea is to copy everything to a single folder for archiving and avoid duplicates, but also ensure we aren’t overwriting newer versions of files with older versions. > > So obviously it’s easy to google for this and there’s no shortage of apps out there that CLAIM to do it, but can anyone recommend one that’s good? > > -Chris > > (PS- looking for both Mac and Windows recommednations) > +---End of message---+ > To unsubscribe send any message to >
