No I think it’s pretty clear that what is being scrapped is 32-bit Quicktime codecs. If it’s not a .mov, then don’t panic. What will be affected are .movs which are NOT natively supported.
I was thinking of this today because I often have to supply exhibition/concert videos as Hap or HapQ, encoded as a Quicktime. The codec is Hap, but the file format is Quicktime. So I think that this is an example of something that will not work once Apple ditch 32 bit Quicktime.
