After an email exchange with Brendan when it was released, it was pretty clear it could not help my large film projects or render farm.

Stephen, have you tried Render Garden from Mekajiki yet?

FYI, some hard data on AfterCodecs in CC2014 via Media Encoder 2018. Outputting a preview file of my whole film, 38 minutes - output an 8-bit UHD JPG sequence as it's just for sound and music folks and some feedback vetting.
To make a fairly plan H264 UHD MP4
Media Encoder 2018, GPU Acceleration on (M5000 card) 7 hours 55 minutes
AE2014 After Codecs, MP On, 3 hours 50 minutes
Has anyone figured out away to get rendering speeds in the neighborhood of AE 2014 without using AE 2014? This summer, we have to render the whole film again for fulldome and likely using VR tools in AE 2018. At 8K. Render times are looking especially grim
right now.

A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.
