Thanks. What version of QT Player has that setting? I couldn't find it in QT 10 and while QT 7 has a Properties section, it does not appear to have anything that allows a transparent background to play back. The movies where I've seen the transparent checkerboard background on playback are on a website and were rendered in the Animation codec. I've tried rendering mine in the Animation codec, as well as ProRes 4444, PNG, and quite a few others that escape me at the moment.
Pete
in the properties section of Quicktime player there is a setting that =
allows transparent background to play back.
