Quicktime Pro is not longer available and not supported. If you need to see through the background you can’t use the QT player for either Mac or Windows to do so. As far as I remember selecting different aliasing options in the transparency options in QT pro only let you clean up the edges and avoid the crazy look in the media player that you got with Animation Codec + Alpha movies.
I could be wrong but I have never seen any media player except Flash that could playback a video with a transparent background on a web page.
