Which theta? The Theta S only supports 1080 video which sucks when you view it in VR.

The Theta V does 4k which is much better.

The best quality I have had out of the Theta is when I do still photos, the quality is much better than the video. 

If you can do something that is time-lapse, you would get better results.

I’m going to work with a Ricoh Theta over the weekend. Ultimately, I will upload it to YouTube, but I would love to make something that looks decent on an oculus (I realize the Theta doesn’t have the highest resolution output). 

Depending on how it goes, I may experiment with compositing 3D models onto the footage, too. 

Any advice would be appreciated.
