I’m working on a project where I’d like to have particles falling down and bounce/slide off an obj - think of rain falling down and then running off an object, eg a car or an umbrella.
I’m not sure there’s a solution to do this in AE, but any suggestions? Both Particular and Stardust can emit from an obj, but particles can’t bounce or slide off of one.
I think I can fudge the old foam effect with a flow map to get about 50% of the way there, but am looking for something better.
I’m also looking at a fudge using Re:Map and a UV pass of the object. This may work, but again looking for options.
I don’t know much about platforms outside of AE, but if I wanted to look elsewhere can anyone suggest a solution. Am I looking for x particle in cinema, or something in maya, etc?
