LG just released new panels in the 42-70 something inch size. 1000nit ! supports every main flavor of HDR.

as for screen calibration, the datacolor spyders are garbage. the xrite is marginally better.

I have been running Xrite on my MacBook Pro, iMac, and LG ultra fine 5K and as long as I have the projects set to 8 bit the monitors match perfectly. The color is still a really good match but I see a lot more on my LG because it’s a 10 bit monitor. The only hitch I have with the Xrite is that the software doesn’t have control over the brightness so you have to set that first and then make sure nobody moves it.

The Xrite also calibrates my Shogun Inferno and Ninga inferno and they also match the other screens. I’ve been very happy and love their Lightroom plug-in if you have one of their color cards.
