There = are less than 100 clips to import, 1/2 hour is about 1800 seconds. So = basically AE is taking roughly 18 - 20 seconds to check each clip - = every time the project is opened or saved. This is not even playback. = I=E2=80=99m just trying to import. And I checked - all the clips are 2K = ProRes quicktimes. Not even that heavy. Obviously I have tried things = like purging the cache, restarting, and so on. I had a quick word with our IT guy and one thing he said to check is if = the file path is over 256 characters long. Apparently that can cause = wierd issues with our setup - could be something that is unique to our = server etc. It=E2=80=99s the sort of tip I was looking for and I hope = that=E2=80=99s it.
