I think 15.1.1 is the latest for Mac.

I downloaded a demo of TransType4 and converted the font to OTF, and now it’s showing up in Ae.  So, perhaps the two are related.  Weird, since Adobe spawned PostScript.

I also noticed that some fonts don’t show up in Ae right after I activate them in FXP as they used to.  I have to quit Ae and relaunch, just like in Ae version 8 with OS9.  I guess I’m lucky I don’t have to reboot, too.

Thank you, Robert.

Are you using the latest AE version?

there is a bug in the new font dropdown menu in the newer AE version that wont show some fonts, even if they work fine in other apps like Photoshop... and the older AE with the old font dropdown menu.

One in particular I want to use is a PostScript font, and most of my fonts are TTF or OTF.  Did Apple drop support for PostScript fonts with High Sierra?

Before upgrading to Sierra (10.13.5), Ae was playing nice with FontXplorer Pro and El Capitan (10.11.6).  I just noticed that about a third or fourth of the fonts I have activated in FontXplorer Pro aren’t showing up in my font list in Ae.

I deleted my Ae prefs and relaunched, but no luck.  Is anybody aware of an incompatibly issue with these versions, or better yet, know a fix, other than manually moving fonts in the root>Library>Fonts folder?
