| Since I’ve done exactly one at this point, Phil, I’m delighted that Mocha Pro solved a shot that Ae failed at, even after changing a few of the Ae parameters. It was a scaled up, watermarked aerial wide shot of a capitol building.
What looks pretty cool about Mocha is that it gives you hints of what to try if the camera solve fails.
I just started another project that every shot needs a camera solve or motion track, so I’ll have better information to pass along on my experiences in a week or two. I’ve tried the Ae solver on several shots, and it’s been kind of hit and miss.
I’d be curious to hear your experiences with using the 3d camera solver in Mocha Pro.
I usually use Boujou for tricky tracks but like the idea of using a planner tracker to extract 3d data on some shots
