Just wanted to give a shout out to Brendan at Fnord for his phenomenal =
help with this issue.  Within 24 hours he=E2=80=99d responded directly, =
we worked out how to replicate the problem at his end and he was able to =
narrow down the most probable cause of the bug.  While a complete fix =
will take some more time for Adobe to investigate further at their end, =
Brendan had a new Open EXR beta this morning to test, which provides a =
temporary workaround and makes a huge difference in performance.  =
That=E2=80=99s a super fast result!

The guys at Adobe are also aware of this problem, again they responded =
to my bug report within 24 hours, so things are looking up for EXR =
support in After Effects.
